Shredding Event Recap – November 16, 2024
The Shredding Event was a great success and we thank the sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority who helped greet our residents.
Salem City Clean Up Day
What a success! There were about 100 volunteers who collected 4.37 tons (that’s 8,740 pounds) of litter, brush and bulky items removed from Salem City streets and neighborhoods!
All Truck Drivers and Managers are invited to SCIA’s Annual Trucker Safety Day!

Successful Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event!
Approximately 185 residents participated in our October Household Hazardous Waste event with a total of 8,320 pounds or 4.16 tons collected!

Volunteers from Msgr. John C. Griffey Assembly Knights of Columbus recently completed roadside clean-up activities on a 2-mile stretch of Courses Landing Road, Carney’s Point.
Recycle Your Reusable Shopping Bags!
Do you find yourself with an abundance of reusable bags? NJ specs for such bags is 125 uses. Unfortunately, many bags are being discarded well before 125 uses.
March 2024 Shredding Event
The March 16, 2024 Shredding event collected 7,920 lb or 3.96 tons. We were visited by approximately 250 Salem County residents.

Shredding Event – November 18, 2023
Approximately 210 residents delivered 8,220 pounds of sensitive documents on November 18, 2023. Including the March 2023 Shredding event, a total of 17,440 pounds of paper was collected, shredded, and moved to the appropriate recycling facility.
Household Hazardous Waste Event
Approximately 170 County residents delivered 11,440 pounds of Household Hazardous waste items on October 19, 2023.
Salem County Residents Do The Right Thing At The HHW Collection Event
