Salem County Residents do the Right Thing at the HHW Collection Event on October 16, 2021!

“It’s so good to see residents of Salem County doing the right thing and taking time out of their busy schedules to bring in their Household Hazardous Waste – plus it was a beautiful day!”, stated Cordy Taylor, Chairman of the Improvement Authority Board. Mr. Taylor brought his fluorescent bulbs and unused oil-based paint to the event for proper disposal.

In total, 142 Salem County residents delivered 12,240 pounds of household generated hazardous waste during the event from 8a.m. to 12 noon at no cost. Thank you to the Recycling Enhancement Act Grant for funding this important event.
