A friendly reminder to all Commercial Trucks and Residents coming to the landfill…
A few residents of Salem County have brought to our attention that debris from some commercial trucks and residents has been littering Salem County roads and properties.
In accordance with the New Jersey Solid Waste Management Act and the New Jersey Code of Criminal Justice it requires all open vehicles traveling with solid waste to be tarped in order to avoid spillage onto the roadways.
All vehicles MUST comply with the law by covering their load with a tarp when delivering their bulk waste materials. After unloading, we insist that you shovel out your loose debris.
Also, please be mindful of your speed on the roadways.
We appreciate your business and want to alert you to this issue so you can remedy the situation and avoid unnecessary fines.
Let’s all do our part to keepSalem County clean.
Thank you,
Salem County Improvement Authority
