On Saturday, November 17, the Salem County Improvement Authority held the final 2018 document shredding event at the Solid Waste Division located at 52 McKillip Road in Alloway from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. A total of 236 residents from all over Salem County participated and delivered 8,740 pounds of documents to be shredded.

“We had a record turnout for this event”, noted Florence Beckett, Salem County Recycling Coordinator. “We are very grateful for the Recycling Enforcement Act Grant for the funding of this event so that we can provide this free service to our residents”.

The event was a big success and SCIA thanks the residents of Salem County for their participation. It’s a “win/win” for the environment and the residents as they can rest assured that their confidential information will not fall into the wrong hands and the shredded paper is responsibly recycled by our vendor, DocuVault.

Join us next year at our two shredding events here at the landfill on Saturday, March 16 and Saturday, November 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
