Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Salem County Improvement Authority (SCIA) for the bid for Supplying of Contract for Diesel Fuel to the Salem County Improvement Authority-Solid Waste Division. Bids will be received, opened and read in public at the administrative office of the Salem County Improvement Authority, 286 Welchville Road, Alloway, New Jersey 08001 on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. prevailing time.

The information to be submitted for consideration is contained in a document entitled “Bid for Supplying of Diesel Fuel to the Salem County Improvement Authority-Solid Waste Division”, which can be obtained by downloading a copy from our website at www.scianj.com. Questions regarding these documents may be directed to the SCIA Administrative Office, Michele Gamber at (856) 935-7900 ext. 12.

Original Bid and (1) Copy must be made on the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the following information on the outermost envelope:

  1. Name and address of the bidder
  2. Name of the bid: Bid Supplying of Contract for Diesel Fuel to the Salem County Improvement Authority – Solid Waste Division.
  3. Bid date: Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 1:00 PM prevailing time
  4. Addressed to:
    Salem County Improvement Authority
    Attn: Julie Acton,  Director
    P.O. Box 890, 286 Welchville Road
    Alloway, New Jersey 08001

The signed proposal forms must be delivered to the place named above on or before the scheduled bid opening. The accepted applicant will execute the contract within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award.

Applicants are to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27) Affirmative Action and P.L. 1977, c. 33 (N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2) Corporate Disclosure.

The Authority reserves the right to, as permitted by law: (i) not select any of the applicants; (ii) require applicants to submit to a personal interview and/or submit additional or clarifying information; (iii) to reject any and all proposals; (iv) to waive any informalities in the proposals; and (v) procure the articles or services from other sources if deemed most advantageous to the objectives of the Authority.

The Authority’s determination of the applicant who is most advantageous to the goals and objectives of the Authority shall be final and conclusive.
